When a mysterious wormhole opens up in space, Penny, a failing astronaut, is sent on a suicide mission to investigate what's on the other side only to come out on Earth one thousand years in the future. Unfortunately, humanity is now extinct and the planet has become a dumping ground for the rest of the galaxy's unwanted trash. One such thing is the heart of an evil overlord named Bone-Bone, who if resurrected will cause chaos across the universe. In an attempt to re-open the wormhole so that she can return home, Penny and her new best friend, an incompetent wizard named Cola, stupidly raise Bone-Bone from the dead. Armed only with a ray gun and a magic rock, the pair of outcasts set out to destroy him before it's too late.
