Talking to the Trees (2012) Reviews
A Greate Movie
I hope for many people to watch this movie. It is a very serious subject, an honest yet subtle realization, and a bold piece.
Amazing
This movie is truly a hidden gem. It explores the shocking reality behind the demand for child sex slavery in Southeast Asia. While the acting isn't perfect, the characters are likable and pull you in to the story. The main character Mia has faults of her own and it was satisfying to watch her change throughout her journey. I also appreciate that the people spoke Khmer in the movie and it was explained why the girls can speak English. Hearing the native language spoken was really refreshing and makes the story seem all the more real.
