I am impressed by this film.
I have not seen a Filipino film as intense as this since Broca and Bernal. I am used to watching Latin American films that deal with poverty and human strength. This film tackled these aspects with simplicity. The lead actors were amazing. Polo Ravales was fantastic in the film. He was boring. And that was what the film wanted him to be. That was the essence of his character. Well portrayed. Hats off to you. Meryll Soriano's prostitute was fantastic as well. Her portrayal of the love-starved prostitute was very palpable. I salute everyone involved in producing this film and most of all the brains behind it - Mr. Aloysius. Mabuhay ang pelikulang Pilipino !
