Ricky Gervais: Humanity (2018) Reviews
then you're bulletproof..
Ricky Gervais: Humanity As anticipated, the brutality and darkness of the humor is at its peak with a hint of maturity that has always been present in it, is probably the reason why it might surpass the previous stand-up shows (but for me, Out Of England 2 will be the best). Ricky Gervais keeps the material flowing and smooth throughout the course of it and not making it come off as homework which is where it excels for despite it ticks for more than an hour, he sweeps away the runtime like a charm. As usual, the essence and the objective remain intact, on its varied topics that narrows it down to something more meaningful than was expected. Humanity may not be Ricky's best but it certainly is witty, raw and contrary to its premise, human.
Classic stuff
Dark humour, sensitive topics, all done with wit and charm and hilarity. Amazing routine!
The best stand up act i ever seen
This was an amazing show, not only for the jokes, but also for the honesty. I guess age lets Gervais don't care less about any PC line not to cross, but more than that i appreciated the honesty trough all the show but especially in the end
One of the best stand up comedies i've ever seen!
Humanity from the legend Ricky Gervais is one of my favourite stand up comedies i've ever seen. You should go on Netflix and watch it right now and you won't regret it. With its dark humour and amazing jokes this is easily the best in recent years. It is hilarious i cried my eyes out of laughing!
Ricky, you're exactly what we need in this day and age
The always irreverent, always in-your-face Ricky Gervais talks about a number of topics in "Ricky Gervais: Humanity": celebrities, animal rights and the general question of what should get considered funny. My favorite part was his comment on the angry tweet that he got from a fundamentalist Christian. It's times like these that make Gervais more necessary than ever (along with Michelle Wolf, and the other comedians who tear down ignorance). I hope to see a lot more from him!
