The young model Zhong Tonghui was 8 when she witnessed her mother's suicide from which the nightmare had been tormenting her. One day, Tonghui received a mysterious invitation to the funeral during her modeling session. The deceased was her wealthy aunt who had no children, she asked the housekeeper to invite Tonghui whom she seldomly in contact with when she was alive. Tonhui agreed to attend the funeral out of sympathy. Upon arriving at her aunt's mansion in a remote countryside, Tonghui met a gentle and elegant woman, and a handsome man, Li Baile, who was also invited to attend the funeral. For a few nights Tonghui couldn't sleep well as the scene of her mother's suicide appeared in the nightmares again.
