Cats and Peachtopia (2018) Reviews

  • This movie should be rated C13

I rarely write a review. But I watched this with my 6-year-old son and 9-month-old daughter. It was a bad call from me. The movie was a terrible mix up between Finding Nemo and Hongkong gangsters movies. If you replace the cats and racoons and other animals with humans, with the exact plot, exact script (dialogues), children should not be allowed to watch this movie. There was past trauma, a gun, lots of alcohol drinking, animal abuse, and (spoilers), obvious death of a (pet) parent and almost death of a kitten. I was so shocked of my country authority who signed off to release this movie for children of all ages to watch that I have to put it on Facebook warning my friends who are parents and now this review on imdb.

  • It was an okay movie. I probably won't watch it again.

I like the beautiful scenery animation but the plot was really too slow for my taste.

  • Slow and terrible English voice over

The animation is nice, and that's about the only positive thing. The dialogues and English voice overs are dreadful. It almost sounds like a computer generated narration, no passion or emotion whatsoever in the voices. The plot is slow and predictable. Very dramatic for small children and no humour at all.
